The Oceanus Fountain at the Rockfeller Estate in New York
This fountain depicts Oceanus, the Titan god of the great world-encompassing river Okeanos. He stands with the three great rivers, Nile, Eridanus and Styx (who is not visible from this angle). He is also depicted at the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Italy.
According to Hesiod’s Theogony, Oceanus fathered every river on Earth, every fountain and every lake.

Something in my expression stops him. “Better not to give in to it. It takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart.”
So here are some of my first sketches of Tris, from Divergent. Just trying to get used to drawing her since I LOVED the book. Which I find a bit tricky, because Tris always states that she’s too plain to be pretty, and the other characters don’t deny it. :/ Mostly she says she looks childlike, with nice eyes, but they’re too big and a long nose and blond hair. Ah well, they did describe her as “striking” once, which to me can also be known as beautiful. c:
